Course of Studies

The design of the Bachelor’s program in International Management Eastern Europe (IME) is geared towards the demand of the international job market for specialists in the economies of Middle and Eastern Europe. This seven-semester, full-time program is organized by modules.

Program Structure

First stage (first and second semesters)

  • Basic Methods and Fundamentals of Business Administration.
  • Languages: English and Russian.
  • Studies in Middle and Eastern Europe

Second stage (third through fifth semesters)

  • In-depth instruction in the areas of International Management, Marketing, Logistics, and Human Resources Management.
  • Major modules.
  • Studies in Middle and Eastern Europe.
  • Languages: English and Russian.

Third stage (sixth semester)

  • Study abroad semester at a partner university or
  • internship abroad.

Fourth stage (seventh semester)

  • Internship phase
  • Bachelor’s Thesis

International Orientation

Our curricula and program design guarantee a high degree of internationalism through:

  • Regional-specific studies in Middle and Eastern Europe.
  • Language training in English and Russian (no prior knowledge is required!). Elective courses in French and Spanish are available from the Department of International Affairs.
  • Instruction in intercultural competency (Business Behavior).
  • Professional specialization in International Management, Marketing, Logistics, and Human Resource Management.
  • Guest professors from Eastern European partner universities.
  • Required study-abroad semester at one of over 20 partner universities in Eastern Europe or a required internship abroad.
  • Interaction with foreign exchange students in lectures and seminars, which adds to the international atmosphere of our university.
