Under the motto "Science against Fascism - Responsibility of Science in Times of Fascist Danger" , various events will take place at German universities across the country in the week from June 1 to 7. The week of action was initiated by the "Students against the Right" initiative, which has been joined by a broad circle of professors. Its aim is to address the current threat of fascism and the social responsibility of academia.
According to the joint declaration, "Science against Fascism" aims to "create spaces for these debates and invite educators, staff and students to open up university institutions to discuss precisely these issues with a broader civil society".
The first event at our university will take place today, June 2, from 2:15 p.m. to around 3:00 p.m. in room A3.011. Prof. Dr. Andrea Rein will give a lecture on the topic "Party ban proceedings against the AfD".
