Exciting business ideas, creative concepts, and valuable feedback: In Prof. Dr. Marc Dressler’s elective course “Startup Management” as part of the Viticulture and Oenology degree program at the Weincampus, students from the Weincampus and the Bingen University of Applied Sciences presented their innovative startup ideas to a jury.
The wide range of concepts impressively demonstrated just how diverse the startup landscape surrounding wine, tourism, and event management can be. Among the ideas presented were an event venue with a pop-up wine tavern, a new line of “Proxy” wines, a finca for artists and those seeking relaxation, an experiential winery with a wine bar, as well as workshops and corporate events. The spectrum was rounded out by a marketing agency for event planning, a proprietary wine line with a personal brand story, and an innovative trendy beverage designed specifically to introduce the younger generation to the taste of wine.
Together with Mr. Adrian Noering from VR-Bank Mittelhaardt and Mr. Matthias Langer from the startup platform (www.gruenderplattform.de), Prof. Dr. Christina Stadler and Chrisa Papadopoulou from the Startup Office had the opportunity to serve as judges for the pitches and provide the teams with direct feedback on their business models, target audiences, and implementation strategies.
A heartfelt thank you to Prof. Dr. Dressler for the invitation and the opportunity to be part of this inspiring event. We’re already looking forward to the next pitches and to discovering more innovative startup ideas!
