How do students find out about the economy, companies and social developments today? Since the winter semester 2025/26, the pilot project "Die F.A.Z. im Hörsaal" (The F.A.Z. in the lecture hall), with which the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society (HWG LU), together with the F.A.Z. publishing house, is setting an example for media competence, critical thinking and practical education, has been investigating this question.
As part of selected courses taught by Prof. Dr. Stefanie Hehn and Prof. Dr. Stefan Bongard (both from Department III), daily articles from the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (F.A.Z.) are systematically integrated into education and linked to business management issues - including in the areas of general business administration, finance, logistics, business informatics, auditing and business taxation. Guest lectures and digital exchange formats are also planned.
Continuation with educational partners as sponsors
The university is looking for companies and funding partners who would like to get involved as sponsors so that the project can be continued and expanded beyond the 2026 summer semester. The F.A.Z. publishing house will accompany the sponsorship in a media-effective manner if desired - among other things with a thank-you advertisement in the F.A.Z.
