Class of 2026 Graduation Ceremony

About 1,000 guests celebrated this year’s graduates’ successful completion of their studies on campus

On Friday, July 10, 2026, following the great success of recent years, HWG LU’s graduation ceremony took place for the third time directly on the university campus in Ludwigshafen-Mundenheim. Under bright sunshine and very summery temperatures, the turnout was once again exceptionally good: Around 1,000 guests celebrated the successful graduation of this year’s graduates.

This year’s event also kicked off with concurrent diploma presentation ceremonies, which the four Departments organized individually for the new alumni and their families and friends with great dedication and creative flair. Following this, University President Professor Dr. Gunther Piller welcomed the guests at the joint champagne reception and congratulated the graduates on their successful Degree: “Without you, we wouldn’t be here today! You can be proud of yourselves and your outstanding achievements. A wide range of opportunities now lies before you, and I am certain that you will choose the right one,” said Gunther Piller.

Tatjana Kamrad, chair of the university’s Friends Association, added: “I see pride and energy in your faces. Hold on to that as you move forward in life.” At the same time, she encouraged the new alumni to take advantage of the association’s robust network and to stay connected with the university even after receiving their Degree.

After the official portion of the ceremony, which included the presentation of diplomas and a champagne reception, the graduation celebration transitioned into a relaxed summer party with cool drinks, finger food, and music. “It’s always great to have so much life on campus, and the festive, summery atmosphere at the graduation celebration is just a lot of fun,” said President Piller.

In the 2025–2026 academic year, a total of around 900 graduates—Bachelor’s, Master’s, and MBA students—successfully completed their degrees at HWG LU.

Catering was provided by the Vorderpfalz Student Services Organization, and DJ Oliver Koop provided the music. The celebration took place with the kind support of Heimtextilien.com and Plissee-held.de.

We extend our warmest congratulations to all graduates and wish them all the best as they embark on this new chapter in their lives!
