Where is Cameroon actually located in Africa, where many HWG students come from?
What culture, language and interesting things are there?
Daren Tchouansi Ngangom reported on his home country with a PowerPoint presentation and many pictures. What a great country it is, "Africa in miniature" so to speak, with beautiful nature and wildlife. The colonial history was also discussed, as were the country's languages and tribes.
Laurenz won the subsequent Kahoot quiz and received a Cameroonian bracelet as a prize.
Of course, Cameroonian food was also on the menu. There were mandazi and banana balls, as well as red beans with prawns, in combination with a spicy sauce or a sweet cream. Everything was freshly prepared in the kitchen. The students Passy, Nelly, Davyna and Michelle were perfect cooks.
The university chaplaincy provided rooms that were perfect for the dance party later on. All the Europeans and Asians present tried to move to the rhythm of the music, but it didn't look quite as successful as the dancers from Cameroon made it look.
With over 40 students taking part, it was a really successful evening, which was financially supported by the Catholic Church and the Studierendenwerk Vorderpfalz.
