Supply Chain Disruption as New Normal? Last lecture of the International Lecture Series 20/21

The presentation by the logistics professor from North Carolina started with the introduction of the HWG partner university, the College of Charleston. The existing challenges of the logistics industry were then broken down and placed in the context of the current situation. It turned out that many of the problems leading to the current supply bottlenecks already existed before the pandemic, but were exacerbated by it. Skills shortages, mega-ships, market consolidation and infrastructure deficiencies are not new challenges. Nevertheless, these problems will accompany us in the foreseeable future and might become part of the "new normal".
