Five German scholarships annually at the HWG LU support students of health economics, nursing and midwifery science
The Förderverein Gesundheitsökonomie an der Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society e.V. has been committed to promoting young talent in the healthcare sector for many years: the association currently finances five Germany Scholarships each year, making an important contribution to training qualified specialists for the healthcare of tomorrow.
The funding concept is interdisciplinary: Students on the Bachelor's degree course in Health Economics, the Master's degree course in Healthcare Management and students studying midwifery and nursing are supported. In this way, the association strengthens interprofessional exchange and qualification for healthcare that relies on interprofessional collaboration.
The scholarship holders report that the funding provides them with valuable freedom: they can concentrate more intensively on their studies and practical phases, deepen the content of their studies and expand their professional orientation. In addition, contact with the members of the support association opens up new perspectives for internships, theses and starting a career.
Luis T. emphasizes "I had the opportunity to introduce myself personally to the members of the support association and tell them something about my background, my motivation and my studies. I found the exchange very pleasant and appreciative. It was exciting to see how much interest there is in my degree programs and my prospects."
Josepha B. emphasizes that the scholarship is an important support for her and at the same time a special form of recognition that encourages her on her chosen career path.
Lisa L. also emphasizes that "the funding motivates me to consistently pursue my studies, to make the best possible use of my personal and professional potential and to pursue my career prospects in the healthcare sector in a targeted manner."
In addition to the Deutschlandstipendium, the sponsorship association is also involved with sponsorship awards, innovative and practice-oriented courses and the Health Economics Talks. With its broad-based funding commitment, the Association for the Promotion of Health Economics at the HWG LU makes a sustainable contribution to securing qualified personnel in the healthcare sector, to strengthening young academics and to the exchange of theory and practice.
