The valuable expertise available in-house became clear once again on Friday, May 15, 2026, in the Tagesthemen: Prof. Dr. Jörg Breitenbach, Honorary Professor in the Department of Management, Controlling, HealthCare and Deputy Chairman of the University Council, stood in front of the ARD cameras as an expert and commented on the planned job cuts and site closures at the pharmaceutical company BioNTech. The program also explained what the dismantling of the production sites means for Germany as a pharmaceutical location.
