Marcus Sidki is professor of economics and statistics at Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences in Ludwigshafen, Germany. As Presidential Representative for Research & Cooperation he serves as scientific head of the university’s Center for Research and Cooperation. His research interests lie in the field of political economics, public finance and sustainability economics. Before joining the university in 2015, he gained practical experience working in the banking industry for more than seven years. He holds a diploma in economics from the University of Heidelberg and a PhD from the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer. He is visiting professor at the University of Landau and was appointed a fellowship at the Liberal Institute of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation in 2020.
