Language courses during the summer semester 2024
In the summer semester 2024 we offer the following language courses
Fancy Japanese?
Are you interested in Japan and its culture? Would you like to learn your first sentences and characters in Japanese? Then our Japanese courses might be just right for you. We offer both a basic course (A1 level) and an advanced course (advanced from last semester).

The courses start on March 20, 2024 and are planned to be completely online for the summer semester. A maximum of 5 participants from Worms University of Applied Sciences can register for the courses.

Everyone can speak English... Korean for beginners and advanced learners!
If you are interested in the Korean language and culture and want to be able to cope with everyday situations in Korean, our Korean courses are just right for you: In the winter semester, the International Office is again offering a Korean course for students with no previous knowledge (A1 level) as well as an advanced course.

¿Habla español?
We are once again offering Spanish courses at different levels (A1/A2) in the summer semester 2024. The courses are taught by a native language teacher.

The courses start on March 20, 2024 and are planned as face-to-face courses. Should this change at short notice, we will inform you. We will also inform you about the rooms.

Improve your English!
We are starting a B2 English course in the summer semester 2024. This will take place online on Wednesdays (16:00-17:30).
Prerequisite: OnSet Test
To participate in the course, please follow these steps:
- Register by email (sprachkurse@ 8< SPAM protection, please remove >8 hwg-lu.de) for the course. The registration deadline is March 12, 2024.
- You will then receive information from us at about where you can register for the OnSet test and when it will take place.
- Take the test (costs: €10.00)
Like all other language courses, the English course costs €30.00 and starts on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.

General terms and conditions
- Class Hours: Courses are offered on a 24-hour basis.
- Group size: The number of participants is 10 - 20 students.
- Course fee: With a minimum of 10 participants* the course fee is 30€. If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the number of hours can be reduced or the course fee can be increased in consultation with the participants in order to allow the course to take place.
- Certificate: After successful participation (= at least 75% attendance + successful participation in the final exam), a qualified certificate of attendance will be issued; participants who do not take part in the final exam but can prove 75% attendance will receive a certificate of attendance.
