The AStA is the representation of interests of the student body of the Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences. As the executive body of student self-administration, the General Student Committee performs many different tasks and functions. In order to fulfill these tasks, departments with specific focal points have been formed.

The honorary representatives of the AStA are elected by the student parliament (StuPa) for a term of office of one year. The AStA currently consists of twelve elected representatives. These include the three-member executive board and the 9 department heads. In addition to the elected board members and department heads, another 50 students volunteer their time in the nine AStA departments. Only thanks to a strong AStA team of currently almost 62 students is it possible for the General Student Committee to offer you a varied social program.
