Course description:
Day 1: Introduction and first steps with HTML

• How does the Internet work?
• What is HTML and how is a website structured?

Day 2 Structuring and linking content

• HTML: Text formatting, lists and hyperlinks

Day 3: Media and semantic order

• Images, tables and the importance of HTML5 elements
• Importance of the structure of a website

Day 4: Getting started with CSS - designing websites

• What is CSS and how is it used?

Day 5: Colors and font - The first visual impression

• Text and color design with CSS. Color theory and typography
• Accessibility on the web

Day 6: Understanding the box model

• The central concept of spacing and borders
• Detailed explanation of the CSS box model

Day 7: Flexbox & grid layout

1. Topic: Frames, dimensions and the display concept

Day 8: Practical workshop and summary

• Application of what has been learned in a small project.
• Repetition of the most important concepts. Participants create a small, simple website
• Time for open questions and outlook on further topics (e.g. Flexbox, Responsive Design)
• Prerequisite Laptop or PC on which programs may be installed
