Accessibility Statement in accordance with the Rhineland-Palatinate Regulation on Accessible Information Technology (BITV RP) dated June 3, 2019

Pursuant to Section 1(2) of the BITV RP in conjunction with Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/1523 of the Commission of the European Union dated October 11, 2018 (L256/105), the following statement regarding accessibility is provided:

2. Status of compliance with accessibility requirements

The website https://www.hwg-lu.de and its associated mobile applications are partially compliant with accessibility requirements.

3. Non-accessible content

• It does not have a version in plain language.
• It does not have a sign language version.
• Alternative text and descriptive link text are still being added in some places.
• Videos generally do not have captions.
• Keyboard accessibility is not consistently guaranteed

The balancing test pursuant to Section 4 of the BITV and Article 5(2) of DIRECTIVE (EU) 2016/2102 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of October 26, 2016, was conducted. The assessment concluded that updating the existing website’s features would be uneconomical, as it would entail enormous costs. The missing accessibility elements will be incorporated when the website is relaunched.

Until the HWG LU website is relaunched, work will continue on reasonable and affordable measures to optimize accessibility.
