Student representation

Student Parliament (StuPa)

The StuPa is the highest decision-making body of the student body. It is made up of representatives from all departments and decides on the principles and goals of the student body as well as its Financial Department. The StuPa is responsible for electing the AStA and has the task of monitoring its work.

In practice, the AStA and StuPa work closely together to achieve common goals. The AStA supports the StuPa in the implementation of resolutions and works on projects and campaigns decided by the StuPa. The StuPa, in turn, monitors the work of the AStA and can make changes or corrections if necessary.

Overall, the AStA and StuPa complement each other in their tasks and work together to represent the interests of students and meet their needs.

The student parliament elects an advisory member to the university senate and also delegates a member to the administrative board of the Studierendenwerk Vorderpfalz.

General Students' Committee (AStA)

The AStA is the executive body of the student body. As the executive body of the student body, the General Students' Committee performs a variety of tasks and functions. In order to fulfill these tasks, departments with specific focal points have been formed.

The honorary representatives of the AStA are elected by the Student Parliament (StuPa) for the calendar year. The AStA currently consists of a three-member board and up to ten speakers. In addition to the elected members, numerous other students are involved in the departments on a voluntary basis.

It is only thanks to a strong team that the AStA is able to offer you a varied supporting program

Student councils

The student councils are associations of the students of a faculty that represent the interests of their members. Their main task is to represent the interests of their students and actively participate in student self-administration.
In doing so, they help shape life at the university and make a significant contribution to improving study conditions.
