| This course builds on the basic level refresher course and includes in-depth study of the following topics: gerund vs. infinitive, reported speech, adjectives and adverbs, word order, prepositions, countable/uncountable nouns, relative clauses. The exercises are based on original texts, e.g. newspaper articles etc.. A combination of structure and Conversation II: Improve your speaking skills by joining our conversation class! This course is for students who want to actively discuss cultural, social and political events and issues. We will use authentic material such as short magazine or newspaper articles as well as news broadcasts to practise discussion techniques and to learn the skills required when talking to people in a variety of situations. Each student can undertake a small presentation. The teaching material will be distributed during the course. Prerequisites: Suitable for students who have successfully completed the English Refresher Basic Level course or have equivalent prior knowledge. |
