Since February 1, Prof. Dr. Manoj Gupte has been teaching and researching as Professor of Business Administration with a focus on International Management at the university's Department of Management, Controlling and HealthCare.
Since February 1, 2024, Prof. Dr. Manoj Gupte has joined the team of the Department of Management, Controlling, HealthCare at the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society (HWG LU) as Professor of Business Administration with a focus on International Management. "We were impressed by Prof. Dr. Gupte's broad-based international expertise. He also brings experience in both industry and services from his prominent work in various commercial enterprises. We are very pleased to have gained a highly qualified colleague for the department in Prof. Dr. Gupte, who is very open to professional cooperation in education and research," emphasized Dean Prof. Dr. Eveline Häusler at the inauguration. And indeed, Manoj Gupte can look back on more than 20 years of professional experience, during which he has lived and worked in various countries in America, Europe and Asia. He completed his studies in the United States at the Terry College of Business, University of Georgia (M.B.A.), and in Germany at the renowned Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (M.Sc.). This was followed by a doctorate in entrepreneurship at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel.
"My passion is to drive change in a complex international environment, from strategy formulation to implementation through inspiring leadership and effective program management," explained Manoj Gupte, who also sees his future focus in research and education at Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences in the field of international management combined with strategy and sustainability.
Manoj Gupte began his career at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he advised global corporations and medium-sized companies in strategic areas such as corporate development, internationalization and sustainability. Subsequently, he founded two service companies in India and served as Managing Director and in other leadership roles focusing on strategy, business development and operational excellence at Voith Group, a global technology company. Most recently, he was at Arcadis NV, a leading company providing sustainable design, engineering and consulting solutions to improve the quality of life, as Head of Strategy and member of the Executive Board of a global business unit responsible for more than 5,000 employees in 25 countries.
Manoj Gupte also gained experience in university teaching with a deputy professorship at Mainz University of Applied Sciences.
