🎓 Start of studies:
Let's go in summer semester 2026! We strongly recommend that you take part in the induction week from March 2 to 6, 2026 - this is where you will get to know your fellow students, the campus and the most important procedures.

💶 Tuition fees? None!
Studying at the HWG LU is free of charge. There is only a semester fee of currently around €145 - this covers you for local public transport and student services, among other things.

🏫 Learning in person - with digital supplements
Most classes take place on campus. Selected courses are also offered online to offer you the greatest possible flexibility.

Our campus is centrally located in Ludwigshafen am Rhein (Ernst-Boehe-Str. 4-6). You can reach us easily by public transport - or travel by car: There are plenty of parking spaces available.

Application & Admission

Admission requirements for the course

To be able to apply for the program, you need:

  • A qualification for university entrance equivalent to the German Abitur
  • German language skills of at least B2 level*
  • English language skills of at least B2 level

For all applicants who fulfill the formal requirements, the HWG LU will conduct a placement test to check your German level.

*We accept the following certificates (maximum two years old):

  • DSH 1 (issued by a German university)
  • Goethe-Zertifikat B2
  • TestDaF with a result of at least 3x TDN 3
  • ÖSD B2 certificate
  • telc German B2

In addition, a current OnSET certificate is required (not older than three months).
