We are pleased about your interest in our study programs in the fields of social work and nursing/health. With our study programs, we contribute to securing skilled workers for the public task of providing public services.

Program and service quality, advising and support for students, especially in the perspective of supporting individually flexible study paths, have a high priority in both study areas.

In the area of social work, we offer the bachelor's degree program in social work (B.A.) as well as the consecutive master's degree program in social work (M.A.). Both programs have a social science orientation and are designed as full-time courses of study.

In the area of nursing and health, the department has responded to the changed legal framework. Starting in the winter semester of 2021/22, we are offering a bachelor's degree program in midwifery. This course of study leads to state licensure as a midwife and the academic degree of Bachelor of Science.
Since winter semester 2022/2023, the newly designed primary qualifying Bachelor's degree program in Nursing (B.Sc.) is offered. With the completion of the program, the professional license as a nursing specialist and the academic degree Bachelor of Science are acquired.
Also redesigned is the previous degree program in nursing education, which will be offered consecutively as a bachelor's and master's degree program from the summer semester of 2022. This offering is supplemented by the master's program Innovative Care Practice in Nursing and Midwifery (M.A.).
