Quality development

Further development takes place in different ways and at different places. However, it is discussed, reflected upon and documented in the quality discussion.

Quality discussions in the area of teaching and learning are held between the responsible person at the program level and the department management. On the other hand, there are quality discussions between the department management and the responsible person of the university management. In the central units, the quality discussions take place between the head of the respective unit and the responsible person of the university management. Their regular execution is obligatory. The quality talks are coordinated by the quality management representative of the respective unit.

The focus of the quality discussion is either the study program, the department or the respective central unit. The guidelines for quality discussions provide an overview of the objectives, preparation, implementation and follow-up of the quality discussions.

The results of the quality discussion are recorded in a protocol, which is intended to serve as a follow-up to the agreed measures and as a basis for the following quality discussion.

In addition to the quality discussions and their recording, formal quality discussions take place within the framework of the interim and quality reports, but also informal quality discussions, the results of which flow into statements (e.g., on the quality report) and, if necessary, further documentation (e.g., meeting minutes).
