ES WIRD - Summer in Ludwigshafen I UNICK's Moments of Silence #16
From June 17, paintings by artist Ute Nick will be on display in the assembly hall (A building) and in the foyer area of the C building. All interested parties are cordially invited to visit the free exhibition.
The artist herself explains her paintings:
"The title of this exhibition refers to the mantra 'IT WILL', which is visible from afar above the university's new building. This mantra is a very beautiful formulation for the work of the university community and beyond. It is the principle of hope that can guide us, which is also contained in these two words.
I chose my pictures for this first exhibition in the auditorium and next to the university's new library according to the following two aspects:
Color - color puts you in a good mood - or can also spoil it. It all depends on the dosage.
Green is particularly beautiful and healing for us. And that's why we need a lot of it in our everyday lives. That's why I chose my bamboo pictures, inspired by various botanical gardens, but also thanks to our years in Malaysia. The temperatures there are tropical, so nature is always green. But bamboo also stays green here in winter - and delights us with its rustling and elegant movements.
Views - views are very important for us humans. And beautiful views!
Ludwigshafen offers a whole host of beautiful views - and I am delighted to be able to show you three pictures. The perspective is crucial to how we evaluate something.
The series of pictures in the assembly hall was taken this year. After so many years of living in Ludwigshafen, this city has become a home to us, the people are open-minded and the flair, together with Mannheim, is truly international.
Enjoy the exhibition, dream yourself away for a while to tropical climes or to the beautiful places in Ludwigshafen.
My special thanks go to Sabine Tarulli and everyone involved in making this exhibition possible.
