Applications for admission-free bachelor's degree programs and master's programs at HWG LU for the winter semester 2020/2021 via the university's application portal are now possible; applications for admission-restricted full-time bachelor's degree programs via the central application platform Hochschulstart/DoSV have been postponed until the beginning of July due to the current situation.
As of now, prospective students can apply for admission-free bachelor's degree programs and master's programs via the university's application portal for a study place for the winter semester 2020/21 in Ludwigshafen. In contrast, there will be changes to the admission-restricted full-time bachelor's degree programs, which run via the central application platform Hochschulstart (DoSV), due to the Corona crisis and the resulting impact on this year's Abitur exams. Here, applications will probably not be possible until the beginning of July 2020. (www.hochschulstart.de)
Due to the postponed application period, the start of the semester for first-year students will also be postponed: Lectures for the winter semester 2020/21 for Bachelor students in the full-time programs in the first semester will start at HWG LU, as at all other universities in Rhineland-Palatinate, on November 2, 2020, according to the current status. Lectures for students in the higher semesters, on the other hand, are expected to start on September 28, 2020, as scheduled.
A mix of digital and face-to-face teaching is currently planned for the 2020/2021 winter semester. More information on this can also be found in the MWWK press release dated June 3, 2020.
