Germany Scholarship 2025/2026 - 35 scholarships awarded to outstanding students

In a ceremony attended by sponsors, family and friends, 35 students from the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society (HWG LU) received the coveted Deutschlandstipendium scholarship in recognition of their outstanding academic and voluntary achievements. The scholarship holders can now look forward to a monthly grant of 300 euros each for a period of one year.

This year, 172 HWG LU students applied for the Deutschlandstipendium. The 35 selected scholarship holders were presented with their certificates by University President Prof. Dr. Gunther Piller on Monday, 13.10.2025, in the dignified setting of the BASF Society House. The awarding of the certificates is linked to at least one year of funding for the selected students in the amount of €300 per month - financed in equal parts by the federal government and private donors. In 2025, the same number of Germany Scholarships were awarded at HWG LU as in the previous year.

This was made possible by a total of 19 current sponsors (in alphabetical order):

  • BASF SE,
  • BürgerStiftung Ludwigshafen,
  • Förderverein des Ostasieninstituts Ludwigshafen e. V.
  • Association for the Promotion of Health Economics at the HWG LU,
  • Friends and Sponsors of Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences
  • Equality of the HWG LU
  • Graduate School Rhine-Neckar
  • University Council of the HWG LU,
  • HR Consulting GmbH,
  • Karl Joseph Wagner Foundation,
  • Lotto Foundation RLP,
  • Meininger publishing house,
  • MLP Finanzberatung SE,
  • Schloss Wachenheim AG.
  • sebena GmbH
  • Sparkasse Vorderpfalz
  • Wellendorff Gold-Creation GmbH & Co. KG
  • WISAG Dienstleistungsholding GmbH
  • and private sponsors.

"On behalf of the entire Executive Board of the university and on behalf of all scholarship holders, I would like to express my sincere thanks for their commitment and the financial support they have provided. Without the support of private sponsors, the Deutschlandstipendium would be inconceivable, which provides our outstanding students with financial relief and thus more time for their studies and voluntary work. Many thanks for this!" said University President Prof. Dr. Gunther Piller.

Once again this year, the ceremonial presentation of the certificates took place in the beautiful ambience of BASF's Gesellschaftshaus, accompanied by music from Lilly Löffler and her accompaniment on the piano.
