An important factor when preparing to set up a business is personal social security in the event of illness, accident and old age. How can you protect yourself and your company? Which insurance policies should you think about?
At the event organized by the start-up office, participants learned from Julia Bianga and Marcel Nitzsche from Techniker Krankenkasse what they need to consider as students when setting up a part-time business in terms of health insurance and where they can obtain information and advice on social insurance.
Guido Merten from ARAG explained which insurance policies you can take out to protect yourself against personal injury, financial loss and property damage and to minimize liability risks for your company. He also gave valuable tips on what to look out for in contracts.
The experts from the Federal Employment Agency, Denise Blaum and Sedat Dogan, reported on how to obtain a start-up grant if you start a business from unemployment.
Martin Holaus and Dr. Marius Melzer from the Palatinate Chamber of Industry and Commerce pointed out the various pitfalls for founders, but also what solutions are available, e.g. for pension provision.
Last but not least, Carsten Krüger from MLP Finanzberatung SE provided information on how to insure against occupational disability at a young age and what to look out for in occupational disability insurance.
Afterwards, the experts were available for individual discussions at the Market of Opportunities. Participants took the opportunity to ask their questions and network with the other attendees.
