On May 17, 2025, the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society (HWG LU) and the university's Graduate School Rhein-Neckar (GSRN) opened their doors from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the University Information Day (HIT) and the "Continuing Education Day", which took place at the same time. Around 400 interested people took the opportunity to find out about the wide range of study and further education courses on offer and discover the campus: whether marketing, business psychology, international business management, sustainability management, human resources management, logistics, business informatics, viticulture & oenology or health economics, social work, nursing, nursing education or midwifery; whether Bachelor's, Master's, full-time, part-time or dual - there was information for all cases.
In addition to the four Departments and the GSRN, the East Asia Institute, the Neustadt Wine Campus, the Institute for Employment and Employability with its New Work rooms, the Behavioral Science Research Laboratory, the student representatives AStA, StuPa and student councils as well as the International Office and the Student Service Center also presented themselves and answered questions about applying, studying and campus life. The Arbeiterkind.de initiative, the Ludwigshafen Employment Agency and the contact person for the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship also provided advice on financing studies and choosing a course of study or training in general. The program also included guided tours of the newly designed campus and the new university building with its magnificent library, hands-on activities, a meet-the-students lounge, information lectures and taster lectures.
"Future you can touch "
A special highlight this year was the "Future Corridor". Under the motto "Future you can touch", the humanoid robot and crowd favorite "Pepper" welcomed interested visitors, invited the university's e-sports team to play along, explored the university's experimental and creative spaces and attended workshops and lectures on "Future Skills": Whether storytelling in the Silent Lab, self-management hacks, a "Boost your Brain" workshop or "Fit for the professional future" - the focus here was on future skills for prospective students and professionals. The GSRN, which bundles further education and part-time Master's courses at the university and advises on further education formats and funding opportunities, was actively involved.
