In 2021, the Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences (HWG LU) celebrates its 50th anniversary and starts the summer semester with an interdisciplinary and an international online lecture series under the motto "We shape the future - for 50 years!
In 2021, the Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences will celebrate its 50th anniversary - after all, the universities of applied sciences were founded in Rhineland-Palatinate in 1971.
For HWG LU, this means: "We've been shaping the future - for 50 years!" Under this motto, the university offers an exciting interdisciplinary as well as an international online lecture series with selected partner universities for university members and the interested public in the anniversary year.
The international lectures are sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
The anniversary series will start on Thursday, March 25, 2021, at 16:00 h with the topic "The Pandemic Recession in Historical Perspective." The exciting guest lecture in English will be given by Ben Kyer, Professor of Economics from Francis Marion University in South Carolina, USA.
All lectures of the anniversary series are free of charge and open to all interested parties; for organizational reasons, registration is absolutely necessary.
