New Managing Director at the Graduate School Rhein-Neckar gGmbH

Ralf Blasek has been managing the university-affiliated Graduate School Rhein-Neckar (GSRN) since October 2021.

Ralf Blasek has been appointed managing director of the Graduate School Rhein-Neckar gGmbH with effect from 01.10.2021. He succeeds Klaus Eisold, who is returning to the university in an executive capacity. The Graduate School is a non-profit institution of the Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences, which provides lifelong learning opportunities. The portfolio currently comprises eleven continuing education programs.

With Ralf Blasek, the Graduate School has gained a proven expert in the fields of continuing education. In his various professional positions, Blasek, who holds a degree in computer science, has held a variety of management positions with involvement in broadly oriented educational topics. Most recently, he headed the in-house academy of a medium-sized company. Prior to that, he was responsible for university programs at an international corporation. Blasek lives in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region and is well connected here. He has long-standing points of contact with the Graduate School, for which he has been working as a lecturer in the subject areas of leadership and talent development as part of a part-time job since 2012.

"For the Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences, which has successfully managed its academic continuing education programs through the Graduate School Rhein-Neckar for many years, the acquisition of Mr. Blasek as managing director represents an important change of course," said University President Prof. Dr. Peter Mudra, who was delighted. He fits in perfectly with the approach of lifelong learning and the special quality promise of a state university, where the proportion of part-time students is currently around 15 percent and rising.

From Ralf Blasek's perspective, continuing education is in an exciting phase. "After particular challenges in the first year of the Corona pandemic, companies and employees are now focusing more on external skills development again." He added that the Graduate School Rhein-Neckar supports all those who want to advance people and companies through further development. "I look forward to working with the Graduate School team, the university, companies and students to further develop the Graduate School in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region in order to make a valuable contribution to talent development," said the new managing director, describing the core of his mission.
