Prof. Dr. Elmar Günther has taken over the management of the MBA distance learning program in Business Management at the Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences (HWG LU) for the summer semester 2021. The program is organized by the Graduate School Rhein-Neckar (GSRN) and the Center for Distance Learning in the University Network (zfh).
The accredited, part-time MBA distance learning program "Corporate Management" offers graduates with a first university degree outside the field of economics know-how in business management, leadership as well as international competence on a high academic level. It is aimed at interested parties who are already in management positions in a company, who aspire to a position at management level or who are preparing for a company succession.
Prof. Dr. Elmar Günther (born 1978) is Professor of General Business Administration, in particular Marketing, at the Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences and a partner of mission2impact GmbH & Co. KG, Leipzig. Elmar Günter received his PhD from the HHL-Leipzig Graduate School of Management under Prof. Dr. Manfred Kirchgeorg and was a visiting scholar at the Faculty of Business at the University of Victoria, Canada. He has a wealth of practical and management experience at well-known companies (including BASF SE, SCHOTT AG) with spheres of influence in Germany and abroad. "I have already had the privilege of teaching as a lecturer in various continuing education programs run by the Graduate School Rhein-Neckar in recent years, so I was immediately excited when the opportunity to lead the program arose," reports Prof. Günther. "The summer semester got off to a smooth start despite the absence of face-to-face courses due to the pandemic, and we were additionally able to create sufficient opportunities for joint online exchange. However, I very much hope that we will be able to meet in person again in the winter semester."
In addition to managing the program, he is responsible in particular for lectures on general business administration, marketing and market research, and the theory of science.
