Practical teaching in the part-time distance learning program Digital Finance, Strategy & Accounting (MBA)

Professor Dr. Stefanie Hehn-Ginsbach and Professor Dr. Gösta Jamin jointly lead the distance learning program at GSRN with up-to-date practical know-how.

Companies in all industries that want to successfully meet the challenges of the working world 4.0 are dependent on well-trained specialists and managers. The distance learning program Digital Finance, Strategy & Accounting (MBA), which is aimed at professionals from all industries and fields of study who wish to gain further qualifications, provides the necessary 'future skills'. You will acquire expertise in finance, strategy, accounting and consulting, as well as cross-functional management and coaching skills.

Those interested in distance learning who opt for the part-time distance learning program at the Graduate School Rhein-Neckar (GSRN), an institution of the Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences (HWG), benefit from two program directors who are active in business enterprises in addition to teaching. As balance sheet analysts, for example, they recently published a specialist article in the industry-relevant private banking magazine on the business development of Berenberg Privatbank. Professor Stefanie Hehn-Ginsbach teaches General Business Administration at HWG, in particular Corporate Finance & Capital Market Theory. She worked at Deutsche Bank from 2005 to 2018, where she held several management positions in Germany and abroad. She advises private as well as public companies on finance-related topics. Gösta Jamin works at HWG as a professor of finance and banking management. He also supports and advises banks, fintechs and other financial service providers in digital transformation projects.

Both program directors have both academic and practical expertise that will benefit the students of the MBA distance learning program Digital Finance, Strategy & Accounting. They have been enthusiastically leading the part-time distance learning program together since the summer semester of 2021: "I find the MBA program "Digital Finance, Strategy & Accounting" super exciting. With its finger on the pulse, it covers the current trends that can trigger a transformation in business models, products, finance functions and corporate strategy, especially through digitalization and automation. Accordingly, I was immediately excited to be able to participate in the management of the study program as well as a lecturer," says Hehn-Ginsbach. Jamin is also positive: "I really enjoy working in continuing education. Ultimately, continuing education is an exchange in both directions: On the one hand, we as lecturers convey our academic concepts and professional experiences. On the other hand, we also get a lot of impulses from business practice from our students, which we can use to further develop our teaching, research and transfer content."
