On 16 Jnauar 2020, 25 kids gathered in the university's PC pool for the winter semester's Kinderuni lecture. The little students had already registered in the summer semester 2019, but could no longer participate because the registrations were so numerous. Therefore, we, together with the lecturer Prof. Dr. Peer Küppers, offered the lecture again.
Topic of the lecture was Do you want to program with Scratch? - Are you ready to start? Then go ahead...
The "programming" is very simple - a graphical plugging together of commands, which you can build up from very simple to really complex. There are many more possibilities - for those who are looking for the challenge.
Using a textbook, which each child was allowed to take a copy of home at the end of the lecture, we got started. It was fun, the lecturer and our student assistant, Alexander, gave lots of help and after the lecture the kids were happy to try out their knowledge on their parents' computers.
Now we are looking forward to the next two lectures with you on 22.1. (please do not register here) and on 28.1.
See you soon - your team of the Kinderuni
