European sustainability in education, science and society - this is the DNA of the EU-funded international consortium "Sustainable Horizons", of which the Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences (HWG LU) has been a member since fall 2022. Together with our five partner universities from all over Europe, HWG LU works on projects for sustainable education, strengthening entrepreneurship and innovation, and promoting inclusion and respect for nature and the environment.
Against this background, cooperation with partners from the region is of great concern to us, and so we are looking forward to a morning of a special kind: on Thursday, 04 May 2023 from 10:00, the trash collection day will take place around HWG LU with the fourth grades of the Bliesschule elementary school and the Georgens-Schule Ludwigshafen. The elementary school children will clear the green spaces along the Blies of trash and thus directly experience the importance of environmental protection and waste avoidance. The event will be rounded off with a buffet of sweet and salty finger food prepared by the talented students of the Georgens School party service.
The event can only be made possible through the dedicated efforts of our local contact persons*. HWG LU would like to thank Mr. Daniel Sack, deputy head of the Bliesschule, Mrs. Ute Nick, member of Inner Wheel, as well as Mrs. Tanja Bußmann, teacher of the Georgens-Schule.
