Welcome to the homepage of the Staff Council of the Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences.

At our university, the Staff Council consists of a total of nine representatives of the group of salaried employees as well as of the academic staff. It meets regularly to discuss problems and applications and to pass resolutions. The basis for its work is the State Personnel Representation Act for Rhineland-Palatinate.

Through the Staff Council, employees are involved in internal decisions within the department. This is particularly important because the department and the employees pursue different interests in some issues, which are often also opposed to each other. The personnel council must therefore ensure that all protective regulations applicable to employees are observed. It is the spokesperson for all employees, a mediator, helper, co-decision-maker, partly controller and contact person for all official matters. The members of the personnel council are bound to secrecy in the performance of their duties.

We see it as our task to communicate the conflicting interests of the employees and to inform them about issues and developments at the university that affect them. In doing so, it is our goal to involve the employees in the work of the Staff Council as as possible. Because it is important to us to have the employees behind us in our Staff Council activities as well. Only if we act in the interests of the employees and with their support, can we make our commitment meaningful for them.

The Staff Council is part of and represents all employees and is re-elected by the employees every four years .
