Controlling

The Controlling department was initiated in 2010 at the Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences and reports to the Chancellor in organizational terms.

The main tasks of the Controlling department at the Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences are to efficiently implement the goals of the university development plan and to support them with appropriate measures. In doing so, it is necessary to take measures that provide opportunities for management and control in order to ensure the quality of the strategy process and its implementation or realization.

Sub-areas of controlling include:

  • Cost and performance accounting
  • Development and introduction of the controlling instrument "target agreements" with corresponding target agreement controlling
  • Capacity accounting including the calculation of curricular norm values (CNW)
  • Implementation and further development of a centralized and decentralized budgeting and planning approach (financial resources control concept)
  • Introduction of software systems to support the budget process
  • Establishment of a reporting system to provide information (including the statistical yearbook)
