Minimum Wage Act
The Minimum Wage Act was introduced in Germany on January 1, 2015. As a result, all employees, including students, are entitled to an hourly wage of at least EUR 8.50 gross. Exempt from the minimum wage law are:
- compulsory internships, if they are included in the curriculum and
- Voluntary internships, if they do not exceed three months.
