HWG LU deepens international partnerships at EAIE 2023 in Rotterdam

From 25-29 September 2023, the largest EAIE ever took place in Rotterdam with almost 7000 participants from all over the world. For many years, the EAIE (European Association of International Educators) was the European answer to the international education fairs in the American and Asian regions and mainly connected educational institutions from geographical Europe. Today, EAIE can easily compete with NAFSA and APAIE, a communication and information platform for worldwide cooperation that can initiate and support the realization of successful and fruitful exchange programs and scientific cooperation.

Together with colleagues from almost all universities in Rhineland-Palatinate, the Head of International Affairs at HWG LU, Kerstin Gallenstein, represented the state and university at the "Universities of Rhineland-Palatinate" booth. Status quo and development potentials of cooperations could be discussed extensively with representatives of partner institutions from Norway, Finland, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Czech Republic, Romania, Croatia, Ukraine, Georgia, Turkey, Israel, Chile, Dominican Republic, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Hong Kong and South Africa. New cooperations were initiated with Westcliff University Irvine (USA) and Sookmyung University Seoul (South Korea).

The team of the EU project Sustainable Horizons met with great pleasure at the joint stand of the universities of the Czech Republic. Under the leadership of the University of Algarve in Faro (Portugal), the participating universities University of Huelva (Spain), University Tomas Bata in Zlin (Czech Republic), University Banat Timisiora (Romania), University Lahti (Finland) and HWG Ludwigshafen have been carrying out joint and regional sustainability projects since September 2022, for example the International Networking and Career Day on October 10, 2023.
