HWG LU's Theater Initiative offers students from all departments, as well as HWG LU staff, the opportunity to try their hand at theater.

Playing theater is incredibly fun and a great group experience. In addition, you train your creativity and body language, an effective appearance and linguistic expression in a playful way.

In addition to learning the basics of theater, the group will rehearse together over two semesters to create a play that will then be performed at HWG LU at the end of 2022. In the summer semester 2022, the play selection, casting, lots of improvisation and first work on the play will take place. In the winter semester 2022/2023, the group goes into scenic work and plans the performances at the end of the semester. 

Rehearsals take place only during the semester - every Wednesday, 2:30 p.m. in A 103 (A Building, 1st floor), on campus at Ernst-Boehe-Strasse 4.

Who can participate?

All students as well as employees of HWG LU who want to play and participate in theater. Previous experience is not necessary. It is possible to join as a player until mid-April of each year. Those interested in costumes, set design and stage technology can join at any time.
