Our students visited SpiraTec AG in Speyer as part of the Master's course in Controlling. The excursions offered valuable insights into the practice of a medium-sized company and linked central study content with concrete application examples.
A particular focus was on the topic of mergers and acquisitions, which was vividly presented by Mr. Holz and Mr. Staab, two experienced managers from the corporate function area, using real integration processes. In addition, the students had the opportunity to get to know the commercial areas of the company better, to visit the offices and to get a comprehensive picture of the organizational structures at SpiraTec.
The excursion was also an excellent opportunity to make professional contacts and expand their personal network. Last but not least, the joint visit also provided a great opportunity for exchange within the semester group and a shared experience beyond the lecture hall.
