An excursion by student Lucas Cambensi:
I had the opportunity to take part in an excursion to the ECB in Frankfurt, and I have to say it was a success! Together with 39 other students, I had the chance to get to know the ECB and its functions better.
After a security check, we were escorted to the ECB's press room, where an ECB employee gave an informative presentation. I was fascinated by the topics that were covered, such as
- Function of the ECB,
- inflation,
- cooperation within the EU
- and the digital euro.
He then answered the students' questions, giving us an in-depth insight into the complex work of the central bank.
The visit was rounded off with a group photo in front of the impressive backdrop of the ECB.
It was an interesting experience that not only enriched my knowledge, but also further increased my fascination for economics and finance. I look forward to attending more excursions and events that will prepare me for my future career.
