Content & schedule
Course content
The four-semester MBA distance learning program Logistics - International Management & Consulting imparts knowledge and competencies that logisticians need to analyze, act and decide professionally on an interdisciplinary and international strategic level. Beyond the classical three areas of logistics teaching - business administration, IT and technology - topics from management, consulting and soft skills relevant to the practice of logistics are included and deepened. The program is offered exclusively in English.
The master's program is aimed for
- Professionals who work or would like to work in an international environment at decision-making level (as executives, project managers or logistics consultants) and want to sharpen their profile for this purpose,
- People who would like to gain further qualifications in a flexible manner parallel to their career and/or family,
- People who would like to use the professional exchange of experience with other professionals to gain insights into solutions and processes of other companies.
In the first three semesters, students deepen their knowledge in eight modules in General Management, Intercultural Competence, Methods of Logistics as well as Logistics Management and Logistics Consulting. They learn to recognize problem areas in the processes and to solve them independently in a strategic way and to implement and communicate them professionally with the necessary leadership competence.
The didactic concept is based on three core elements: Self-study by means of teaching letters and materials available online, joint learning via the online platform openOLAT, and online sessions in the first 3 semesters with methods of active and reflective teaching such as case studies, exercises at a digital factory, presentations, group work and much more.

Our Team

Our 1st semester lecturer:
Module General Management:

Javier González Nuñez: "In the GENERAL MANAGEMENT module students will learn how to use finance for business decision making. From creating budgets and forecasts to understanding and analyzing financial statements. Both for their personal finance and their careers."
Module Intercultural competence:

Ridha Mejri: "In today's volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) globalized world, businesses operate through international, multicultural and agile project teams, making strong communication, digital and intercultural skills essential. This course explores international management and global leadership alongside a deep dive into business ethics and international negotiations."
Extralogistics modules:

Prof. Dr. Georg Seitz: "tba"
Our 2nd semester lecturer:
Module Law:

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dominika Harasimiuk: "Any business activity necessitates the general knowledge and understanding of law and principles of various legal systems. State jurisdictions co-exist with well developed international and supranational legal systems, governing both public and private legal relations. It is thus necessary not only to understand the general differences between civil-law and common law systems, but also to gain knowledge about EU law and international law governing business and trade in the international context."
Intralogistics module:

Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Müller"Highly automated systems help producers as well as distributors to serve customers quickly with goods. The module INTRALOGISTICS addresses some fundamental technological aspects of conveyors and warehouses and reveals how these components act together in real systems. The principles of order scheduling and usage of scarce resources are examined as well as the handling complexity in such systems. Digitization is considered as an important factor. The development and investigation of complex systems in a virtual factory is discussed."
Project & Change Management modules:

Ralf BlasekChange Management: Navigating change is a critical capability in today's dynamic business environment. In the module CHANGE MANAGEMENT, we will explore various aspects of change initiatives and apply established change management frameworks. We will learn how to deal with resistance to change, leverage storytelling as a powerful tool, and examine emerging trends. A key focus will be on contrasting transformational and transactional leadership styles to effectively guide organizations through periods of transition.
Project management: The fundamentals of project management are crucial for success in any organization. In the module PROJECT MANAGEMENT, we will delve into project life cycles, common challenges, and best practices. We will analyze team dynamics and development, and highlight the core competencies of successful project managers. The module is rounded off with special topics, case studies, and an outlook on emerging trends and additional resources."
Our 3rd semester lecturer:
Module Logistics Management:

Dr. Ulpan Tokkozhina: "In the dynamic environment of businesses nowadays, where end-customers are becoming more and more demanding, it is important to manage processes and operations effectively. In the module LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT, students are expected to learn how to evaluate and select the most suitable lean tools, implement logistics controlling measures and manage inventory and grasp the realities of modern supply chains. This course combines theoretical parts with practical approaches, where learners can proactively apply their knowledge."
Consulting modules:

Dr. Jörg Priese"Today, management consultants are no longer just external experts who provide selective solutions. They increasingly act as strategic partners who guide companies through complex transformation processes. The CONSULTING module covers the consulting process and the organization of consulting firms. The systemic fundamentals of process optimization are addressed and explored in depth using optimization methods such as "value stream design." In addition, the topic of knowledge management is discussed in depth and methods of knowledge transferor or the using of AI are debated in detail."
Success stories:
Makhlouf Benzahia
"Joining LIMC program was one of the best decisions in my life. I have acquired knowledge that helped me work smarter, become efficient,
open minded, embrace and create change within our organization so we can remain a preferred logistics service provider in the chemical and petrochemical industry. Being back to university at the age of 42 was fun. I have enjoyed it very much and I don't doubt that I will be doing it all over again in the future!"
