In October 2021, probably from 8.10. to 10.10.2021, the next Start-up Hackathon "iHack RLP" of the University of Applied Sciences Ludwigshafen (HWG LU) will take place in cooperation with the State Association for Energy and Water Management Hesse/Rhineland-Palatinate (LDEW) as an online/hybrid event.
After the successful implementation in the fall of 2020, there is a chance for new contributors and enthusiasts to get involved.Under the motto: "Start New Hackathon", new ways are possible to awaken the founding spirit and shape the future!
The iHack RLP Start-up Hackathon is a mixture of Start-up Weekend and IT Hackathon, where teams develop ideas for business models within 60 hours. Students can gain their first experiences as entrepreneurs and develop them further with the cooperating institutions.
Mentors provide technical support on the topics of the start-up hackathon or on Business Model Canvas. New cooperating companies present challenges from their field of business. Interested parties can apply directly by e-mail at ihack-rlp@hwg-lu.de to get in touch.
The thematic focus of the challenges is on urban infrastructure for smart cities and digital villages. Mobility, climate and health are topics that we would like to advance. For example, ideas for the smart networking of sharing systems, the visualization of charging infrastructure, climate-friendly mobility concepts, or the development of citizen-oriented participatory actions to protect the environment. Sustainability aspects should be considered in the development of the business models.
The iHack RLP - University Start-up Hackathon on Infrastructure is supported by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Ministry of Economy, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture (MWVLW).
