On October 24, 2025, the Institute for Management & Innovation (IMI) and Bauprojektgesellschaft Ludwigshafen (BPG) took part in the Info Market in the Rhein-Galerie Ludwigshafen.
The event served to inform citizens about the current status of the major
infrastructure projects in Ludwigshafen.
One particular highlight was the presentation of the jointly developed chatbot, which will answer questions about the construction projects comprehensibly, reliably and around the clock in future. The
chatbot facilitates access to complex information. It is designed to be user-friendly and multilingual. People with different needs and language skills can use the service without barriers.
Technologically, the chatbot relies on state-of-the-art Large Language Models (LLMs) and embedding models from Mistral, which give it an impressively natural understanding of language. By using a RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) approach, it combines these AI capabilities with reliable specialist knowledge: For each query, the system specifically accesses verified project documents and supplements its answers with precise facts in real time. This ensures a high level of accuracy and transparency in the information provided.
The application is currently in a test phase and is being continuously developed in order to provide citizens with a powerful, informative and user-friendly tool in the future.
