MBA distance learning program "Digital Finance, Strategy & Accounting" under new management

Prof. Dr. Stefanie Hehn and Prof. Dr. Gösta Jamin have taken over the management of the innovative MBA distance learning program "Digital Finance, Strategy & Accounting" at the Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences (HWG LU) in the summer semester of 2021. The program is organized by the Graduate School Rhein-Neckar (GSRN) and the Center for Distance Learning in the University Network (zfh).

The accredited, part-time MBA distance learning program "Digital Finance, Strategy & Accounting" offers graduates with a first university degree or a university entrance qualification (without a first degree, but with at least 3 years of professional experience and passing the qualifying examination) the future skills and the success-critical expertise in the exciting and future-oriented fields of finance, strategy, accounting and consulting. The course is aimed at interested parties who already hold specialist or management positions in a company, aspire to a position at this management level or are preparing for self-employment and would like to acquire cross-functional management and coaching skills in addition to contemporary specialist skills.

To the persons:

Prof. Dr. Stefanie Hehn (born 1977) is Professor of Corporate Finance and Capital Market Theory at the HWG Ludwigshafen and teaches in several continuing education as well as undergraduate programs. She is head of the Bachelor's program "Business Administration with a focus on Finance", Vice Dean of the Department of Services and Consulting, and also a member of the Senate. She holds a doctorate in economics and mathematics and has worked for many years in several management positions in the Deutsche Bank Group in Germany and abroad. She currently advises and assists private sector as well as municipal companies in financial management projects. "I find the MBA program "Digital Finance, Strategy & Accounting" super exciting. With its finger on the pulse, it covers the current trends that can trigger a transformation in business models, products, finance functions and corporate strategy, especially through digitalization and automation. Accordingly, I was immediately excited to be involved in the course management as well as a lecturer," says Prof. Hehn. "The high level of interaction and personal exchange with students, lecturers and the teams at GSRN, zfh as well as HWG Ludwigshafen is enriching and creates an exceptionally good and productive study environment, especially for the students."

Prof. Dr. Gösta Jamin (born 1973) is Professor of Finance and Banking at HWG Ludwigshafen. He teaches in continuing education and undergraduate programs and heads the undergraduate master's program "Finance & Accounting". Prof. Jamin is a trained banker, holds a degree in economics and a doctorate in empirical accounting and capital market research from the Bayerische Julius-Maximilians-Universität in Würzburg. Before joining the university, he worked as a consultant in the banking practice of McKinsey and headed the central division for business customers/small companies at HypoVereinsbank. In addition to his teaching and research activities, Prof. Jamin accompanies the digital transformation of companies and helps startups design and implement their business models. "Working in continuing education gives me a lot of pleasure. Ultimately, continuing education is an exchange in both directions: On the one hand, we as lecturers convey our academic concepts and professional experience. On the other hand, we also get a lot of impulses from business practice from our students, which we can use to further develop our teaching, research and transfer content," says Prof. Jamin. "I am grateful to be able to take on this challenging role together with my colleague Stefanie Hehn and look forward to continuing the collaboration with our students as well as colleagues at GSRN and zfh."
