Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees serves to connect the university with social forces. It was established in the course of the university's independence and constituted on April 15, 1997. The Board of Trustees has the task of critically and constructively accompanying developments within the university in the areas of education and research, the transfer of research results into practice, academic continuing education and in matters of principle and organization. It issues recommendations and statements on key issues from a public perspective and contributes to goal-oriented cooperation with industry and other institutions in the region.
Thirteen trustees sit on this committee. They are appointed as members of the Board of Trustees for a period of five years. A chairperson and three deputies were elected from among them.
