Job description

As an IT specialist for system integration, you will plan, install and maintain complex IT systems. Your tasks will include the administration of networks and systems, the implementation of IT projects, as well as support and user care in everyday university life.
We work in a secure, structured manner and with the latest hardware - and attach great importance to practical training in a team.
Training content

During your training you will acquire knowledge in the following areas:
- System architecture, hardware and operating systems
- Application software, installation and configuration
- Networks, system integration and maintenance
- Project planning, implementation and quality assurance
- Organization, procurement and commercial basics
The theoretical training takes place once or twice a week at the BBS Technik I in Ludwigshafen. The practical training takes place at the university's IT Service Center, where you will work in education, research and administration and take on your own projects.
What you should bring with you

- At least a qualified lower secondary school leaving certificate, a good understanding of mathematics and a good command of English
- Initial experience in using a PC (please mention this in your application) and enthusiasm for new technologies
- A sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently and autonomously
- Ability to work in a team and enjoy learning new things and being actively involved in the apprenticeship
