Job description

Administrative assistants work in public service administrations and ensure that organizational and legal processes run smoothly.
They advise citizens and internal contacts, prepare notices, keep files and take on tasks in areas such as personnel, finance, organization or service.
The profession combines office and clerical work with direct contact to people and requires diligence, communication skills and enjoyment of working with legal and administrative regulations.

Training content

Training as an administrative assistant is a state-recognized training occupation in the public service. The following knowledge and skills are taught during the apprenticeship:

What you should bring with you

  • Qualified secondary school leaving certificate I and at least a "good" grade in German in the final certificate
