WERTstadt - Performative Urbanity

Series of events by the Kunstverein Ludwigshafen with the participation of HWG LU

From September to November 2021, the event program "WERTstadt - Performative Urbanity" offers its visitors* the opportunity to (re)discover Ludwigshafen's values and to become aware of the use of urban space. The Kunstverein's event series addresses the conflict-laden urban topography that is omnipresent and much discussed in the city on the Rhine. The program invites numerous city actors* as well as experts from outside to change, observe or simply use the public and social spaces of Ludwigshafen. Value takes on the practice of valuing and articulates, beyond the economic consideration of the city, the everyday specific importance of the city's inhabitants, who co-produce urban life on a daily basis.

Participation in "WERTstadt" is free of charge, but in large parts registration is required

HWG LU is also participating in the Kunstverein's series of events with two program items: on Thursday, 21.10.2021, there will be a public teaching event entitled "City and Housing" with Prof. Dr. Ellen Bareis, Antje Reinhard and master's students of social work in the university's Social Innovation Lab.

On Saturday, 20.11.2021, also in the Social Innovation Lab of the university under the direction of Prof Dr. Andrea Lutz-KLuge and Marie Kammler, a workshop on the topic "Souvenir Shop LU" will take place, the results of which will be presented on Sunday, 21.11. from 15.00.
