The practical phase starts and ends with one block event each, which are obligatory. Before the start of the practical phase (at the latest, however, in the 5th semester), attendance of the  internship seminar is mandatory. After completion of the practical phase (usually in the 7th semester), the presentations take place in a further block event. Attendance is also compulsory here. The block events aim to promote the technical, methodological and social competence of the students.

The internship must be completed in a suitable company in Germany or abroad and must be sufficiently related to the course of study. The minimum duration is twelve weeks. Large and medium-sized companies can be considered as training companies.

To be admitted to the practical phase, you should have successfully completed the modules from the first five semesters (during the Corona pandemic from the first four semesters).

Prerequisite for the award of credits is the submission of a 15-page practical report according to the guidelines of scientific work of the department, a proof of activity/certificate and the presentation of the practical phase.
