Greetings from
Minister Clemens Hoch

Clemens Hoch, Minister for Science and Health Rhineland-Palatinate

I would like to congratulate the University of Applied Sciences very warmly on its 50th anniversary! The year 2021 is a special year for all universities of applied sciences (HAW) in the state, because the University of Applied Sciences Rhineland-Palatinate was founded in 1971. Over the past 50 years, the HAWs have developed into a true model of success and have become an integral part of the higher education landscape in Rhineland-Palatinate.

With currently around 4,600 students, the HWG Ludwigshafen is one of the smaller universities in the state, but it stands out with its unique profile and has made this its name. As a university with a strong focus on society and transfer, it is closely intertwined with the city and the region and is an important player in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region. Therefore, for the next 50 years, I would like to wish the Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences that it can continue to make these special features its strengths.
