Law and personnel

"Labor law is an important component of human resources management. The correct and targeted application of the legal norms of labor law is crucial for successful dealings with employees. If nothing else, they will help shape the company's results."

Target group

The Bachelor's program "International Human Resource Management and Organization" (IPO) is a full-time course of study that provides you with a solid business education in just 6 semesters, coupled with a clear focus on human resource management and organization. A high practical orientation, international experience and the acquisition of intercultural skills round off the profile.

At the Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences, you will study in relatively small groups, so that a very good supervision ratio can be guaranteed. Lectures, seminars and exercises are offered by professors and other full-time lecturers as well as by lecturers from practice. In this way, you will gain knowledge about current research results as well as knowledge from corporate personnel work. In this way, you lay the foundation for a first-class academic education that is ideally suited to the current and future requirements of companies and other organizations.

Guiding idea

The aim of the degree program is to equip you with the necessary action competencies that will allow you to successfully start your career and/or gain access to a more advanced master's degree program. The combination of theoretical knowledge and application-oriented projects make this possible.

In addition, you will learn foreign business languages, acquire soft skills critical to success and expand your professional as well as personal horizons during a semester at a renowned international partner university or as part of an international internship in human resources.

The high level of qualification as well as the practice-oriented profile of the International Human Resource Management and Organization B.Sc. program opens up the opportunity for you to work directly as a management trainee or specialist in industrial or service companies, in non-profit enterprises or in the public sector.

Concept

The program is designed so that you first enjoy a basic business education in the 1st and 2nd semesters. This enables you to recognize, analyze and structure entrepreneurial decision-making problems on a scientific basis. Building on this, from the 3rd up to and including the 6th semester, you will receive comprehensive instruction and in-depth training in the subject areas of human resources management and organization. You will also learn the necessary methods and foreign language skills. The bachelor thesis concludes your studies. If you wish, you can work on this as a practical project in cooperation with a company. Due to the university's good contacts with companies, there are usually no difficulties in obtaining suitable internships and projects for the bachelor's thesis.
