Successful reaccreditation of IPO and IHRM Accreditation Council approved until 2027.

The Accreditation Council Foundation - the joint institution of the German states for quality assurance in teaching and learning at German universities - as the responsible decision-making body for the approval (accreditation of program quality) of bachelor's and master's degree programs officially re-accredited the two human resources management degree programs IPO and IHRM on September 17. The accreditation runs until September 30, 2027.

Based on a written and personal on-site assessment by the accreditation agency AQAS, the State Accreditation Council approved both study programs without condition due to quality deficiencies.

The IPO/IHRM program directors and program management are pleased with this great success, which faculty, staff and students of the Human Resource Management program have worked towards for a long time.

This is already the second reaccreditation in the form of a program review for both study programs. The Bachelor IPO started in the winter semester 2004/2005, the Master IHRM followed in the winter semester 2007/2008.

As part of the reaccreditation decision, the Accreditation Council also approved the new academic degrees of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and Master of Science (M.Sc.), which will apply to first-year students from the current winter semester. The B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees applied for were reviewed by the reviewers as part of the process to determine if they met the specific requirements. Accordingly, both degree programs  now have more courses in wiss. Research Methodology, Applied Social Research and Quantitative Management Approaches.

According to the KMK structural guidelines, the Bachelor's degree is equivalent to the former Diplom degree of a "Dipl.-Betriebswirt (FH)" or a "Dipl.-Betriebswirtin (FH)". The Master's degree is equivalent to the former university diploma degree of "Dipl.-Kfm." or "Dipl.-Kff. equivalent.

The application deadline for the twice-yearly IPO program in the summer semester 2020 is January 15, 2020; the application deadline for the master's program is July 15 for the winter semester.
